Lisa Townsend, PMT, MH

Lisa, owner and operator of Holistic Health Options, G.R. is a graduate of Blue Heron Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2002. She is certified as a Professional Manual Therapist/Medical Massage Therapist and Master Herbalist. Lisa founded Holistic Health Options, G.R. in 2008 to offer the benefits of medical massage care to the citizens of West Michigan.  From 2002 to 2008 the company name was Townsend Manual Therapy & Reiki but was changed when I dedicated the majority of my time to practice building.

Lisa is a proud member of the American Medical Massage Association, is certified by the AMMA, and is a member of the American Massage Council. Lisa also has her Bachelor of Music Degree from Aquinas College, magna cum laude, teaches piano and flute privately in her students homes, composes, and is currently working on her own CD.

On another subject, given the climate of Massage Therapy in Michigan, I have found it necessary for my safety, and for yours, to write this Policy and make it clear to prospective patients. It is below.  Please read it before you agree to treatment.

HHO-GR Sexual Harassment Policy

Sexual harassment is against the law and will not be tolerated at HHO-GR-from me toward you or from you toward me.  I am completely detached from your body and have only a clinical interest in you. 

Sexual harassment is defined as:

Based on an exchange of money, believing that it is fine to cross my personal boundaries by;    

1.     Looking at my body parts, other than my face to garner some type of personal pleasure.

2.     Misconstruing any anatomical comments I make as I work on you as overtly sexual in nature.

3.     Making other flirtatious, un-called for comments to me about my looks or activities in the office.

4.     Asking me out on a date

5.     Discussing personal relationships such as wife or girlfriend with regard to your physical or emotional relationship with that person.  I’m not a counselor.

6.     Discussing your sex drive with me for any reason.  That should be discussed with your Dr. and is a health issue.

7.     Bringing up reproductive body parts to me.

You are paying for clinical healthcare services only.  Any client, male or female, who engages in these activities will have their session immediately ended. They will get dressed, leave, and not be allowed back.
